Terms and Conditions

General
1.1 Ultimate Blinds reserves the right to change the terms and conditions at any time and any such changes will take affect when posted on the site www.ultimateblinds.co.uk and it is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions on each occasion you use the site, when ever you use the site or confirm a quotation to engage in business you have accepted the terms and conditions.

Privacy
2.1 Ultimate Blinds takes customers privacy very seriously and never stores personal details anywhere other than on the order form, your details are never shared with any other company.

Prices
3.1 All quotations issued are valid for 28 days from the date of quote.
3.2 If you wish to alter your order between quote and manufacture the quote may vary depending on the changes requested, in which case a new quote will be issued.
3.3 All prices are in sterling and once agreed are non negotiable.
3.4 VAT of 20% will need to be added to obtain the final invoice amount.

Payment
4.1 All prices are in pounds sterling and payments can be made by the following methods; cash, cheque or bacs (via Ultimate Blinds business bank account) and all major debit and credit cards.
4.2 All orders that are for supply and installation by Ultimate Blinds are to be paid for in full on the date of fitting.
4.3 All products remain the property of Ultimate Blinds until paid for in full.

Cancellations
5.1 All of our shutters, blinds and window coverings are made to measure specifically for your spaces and so cancellations are not possible after order confirmation. All goods are treated as “Bespoke” goods and must be paid for in full.

Installation
6.1 Installation dates are only provisional, and with notification, may be changed at any time.
6.2 In order for Ultimate Blinds to install blinds and window coverings customers must make space available for the fitter and remove any objects obstructing access to the installation area.
6.3 Ultimate Blinds are not responsible for any changes made to the installation area after the final measurements have been taken. All products are made to measure to the nearest millimeter and any plastering, painting or other changes that are made between ordering and installation are at your own risk.
6.4 Ultimate Blinds cannot be held responsible for any fixtures to which blinds and window coverings are installed within, such as poor quality wood, brick, concrete or plaster.

6.5 Ultimate Blinds will not be responsible to make good any fitting surfaces or apertures in the unlikely event of products needing to be removed once fitted.

Delays
7.1 Manufacturing times stated are approximate and may be subject to change or delay.
7.2 Ultimate Blinds will endeavour to inform our customers as soon as possible in the event of any manufacturing delays.

7.3 During the Covid-19 pandemic manufacturing lead times could see some significant delays with severely effected updates and services for which Ultimate Blinds can accept no responsibility for.

Returns / Cancellations after installation
8.1 Any damaged goods or incorrect orders must be reported on the day of delivery or installation, after this we accept no responsibility. Customers cannot cancel made to measure items or personalised items once confirmation of order has been accepted. All goods are treated as “Bespoke” goods and must be paid for in full as they are made to measure to your exacting requirements.

Guarantee
9.1 All Blinds and Soft Furnishings supplied and installed by Ultimate Blinds Ltd are guaranteed for a 2 Year period from the date of installation, Shutters will be 3 Years. This guarantee covers the manufacture and installation with any problems of a “wear and tear” nature. Any problems deemed to be “accidental damage” are not covered by this guarantee and work required on this basis will be chargeable. Please see further sections outlining product warranty.

Product Warranty
10.1 Subject to clauses 10.3 to 10.7 below: (i) we warrant that any products supplied will correspond with the specification set out in the Quotation or the Technical Order Confirmation Form (as the case may be) at the time of delivery or supply, will be of satisfactory quality and will be fit for the purpose for which they are commonly bought and for the purpose for which they have been designed; and (ii) we warrant that the services supplied will be performed with reasonable skill and care.

10.2 Subject to clauses 10.3 to 10.7 below, and to the receipt of payment in full for your order: (i) we warrant that, for a period of 3 years from the date of installation on Shutters and 2 years for Blinds and Soft Furnishings, all goods and services supplied will be free from defects in materials and workmanship.

10.3 If any services supplied by us are not in accordance with clause 10.1(ii) or 10.2(i) above, you should notify us in writing within a reasonable time from their supply or of becoming aware of the defects which are not apparent to you on a reasonable inspection of the services. We will either arrange with you a time when we can visit your home to examine the supplied services or request imagery showing the alleged defect and, if the services are not in compliance with clause 10.1(ii) or 10.2(i) above, we will either remedy the defect in question or re-supply the defective services.

10.4 In order for us to complete any repairs required under any of the warranties set out in clause 10.1 we will require access to your property at a mutually convenient time. Failure to provide such access within a reasonable time will be deemed a frustration of the contract and our obligations as set out within this clause 10 will cease.

10.5 Upon notification of a claim in respect of any goods under any of the warranties set out in clause 10.1(i) above, we will either arrange with you to examine the goods or request imagery and, if the goods are defective, we shall either repair or replace the defective goods free of any charge for labour or materials (always providing that the goods have not been subject to any misuse or modification). It is possible that goods replacing defective goods under any of the warranties set out in clause 10.1(i) above may no longer exactly match other goods in that order due to fading or changes in product specification. Should this be the case we do not accept any liability to replace non faulty product(s) solely to ensure colour match.

10.6 Whilst every attempt will be made by us to ensure that the goods supplied match in every respect any samples shown or description given to you, any minor or immaterial variation between sample or description and the goods delivered shall not entitle you to: (i) reject the goods; (ii) withhold or reduce payment of the purchase price; or (iii) claim any compensation for such variation.

10.7 Whilst all products supplied by us are tested in accordance with BS EN ISO 105 B02, fading will inevitably occur. However, the performance of the products is unimpaired by any such fading and the warranties set out in clause 10.1 shall apply: (i) in relation to fading or discolouration caused by fair wear and tear; and/or (ii) where the relevant fault or defect has been caused by your misuse and/or neglect of the products and/or by accidents caused while the products are in your possession.

10.8 The warranties set out in clause 10.1 are for the original purchaser only and are not transferable. Please retain your Quotation or Technical Order Confirmation Form (as the case may be) to identify your purchase in the unlikely event of needing to claim under any of the warranties set out in clause 10.1 above.
